About Motorsports Tours
Most tours can get you to a race. Motorsports Tours was built to take you inside the world that created it.
We believe motorsport deserves more than a ticket and a hotel room. It deserves context. It deserves culture. It deserves people who actually know the difference.
That belief is what brought us here.
A Lifelong Obsession Turned Into a Company
Motorsports Tours didn’t begin as a business idea.
It began decades ago in the American South, where Jamie Gilpin grew up surrounded by NASCAR culture while becoming obsessed with Formula 1, IndyCar, and endurance racing instead. While most kids around him followed what was local, Jamie was memorizing lap records, team histories, circuit layouts, and race strategies from halfway across the world.
In 2010, Jamie and his wife Joy took over Outfitter Bicycle Tours and spent more than fifteen years learning how to create immersive sports travel experiences that felt personal, seamless, and deeply connected to the places they visited. Not giant bus tours. Not rushed itineraries. Small groups. Thoughtful logistics. Real local experiences. Trips built around people, not volume.
Then came the summer of 2024. With the thought of going to the Belgian Grand Prix after their Tour de France tour, it was quickly discovered that there were no tour providers that operated F1 tours in the way they’ve successfully delivered Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, and other sports experiences.
In 2025, they combined the Formula 1 Grand Prix at Imola with the Giro d’Italia passing through Emilia-Romagna in the same week. Guests experienced both from the same home base in the heart of Motor Valley.
That trip confirmed something they had suspected for years:
- Motorsport travel could be done differently. And better.
- Motorsports Tours became the natural next chapter in their family business.
Doing Things Differently
WE BELIEVE THE BEST SPORTS TRIPS ARE NOT ONLY ABOUT THE SPORT.
The culture around motorsport is inseparable from the experience itself. The food. The roads. The people. The history. The places where mechanics, engineers, and drivers built legends long before most fans ever arrived.
That’s the part we care about just as much as race day.

Our Mission
To take motorsports fans beyond the grandstand: into the culture, history, and places that made the sport what it is, and bring them home changed.
We’re not trying to become the biggest motorsport travel company in the world.
We’re trying to consistently create the kind of week people talk about for years afterward.
The kind that makes someone come home already thinking about the next race.
Or bring someone they love back with them next time.
That’s enough for us.
Small groups. Big moments.
We would love to hear from you! Please fill out this form and we will get in touch with you shortly.
